On June 3, within the XXIV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), a cooperation agreement was signed between the Kaluga Region and the Medical Products 21 on production of medical examination gloves of synthetic rubber (nitrile). The document was signed by the Deputy Governor of the Kaluga Region Vladimir Popov and the General Director of Medical Products 21 LLC Abbas Namir Jabar in the presence of the Governor of the Kaluga Region Vladislav Shapsha.

The agreement provides for the construction of an enterprise on the site of the Borovskiy Municipal District of the Kaluga special economic zone. The estimated capacity is 70 million pairs per year.

The amount of investments is 400 million rubles. 46 positions will be created.

The company’s future plans are to scale the project up to 2 or more similar lines. The prospective supplier of production raw materials is PJSC Sibur. The production was announced on 2022.
