Kaluga SEZ to build a confectionery and a packaging film plant
On June 22, a meeting of the expert council was held chaired by the Deputy Governor of the Kaluga Region Vladimir Popov. Applications from Vkusprom KF OOO and Polimer Grup-Kaluga OOO were approved to obtain the residence status of the Kaluga Special Economic Zone. The total investment in the two projects will amount to more than 570 million rubles.
The KF Vkusprom project provides for the construction of a hard caramel sweets plant by casting into Teflon molds. The Borovsk site of the Kaluga SEZ was selected to implement the project. The project investment is planned to be 393 million rubles. The number of new jobs is 48. The commissioning of the facility is scheduled for 2022.
Polimer Grup-Kaluga will build a plant to produce agro stretch film, dust sheets and bags at the Lyudinovo site of the Kaluga SEZ. The investment in the project will amount to 180 million rubles. The number of jobs is 111. The commissioning of the facility is scheduled for the end of 2022. The volume of the production will make up 3% of the market for agro stretch film produced in the Russian Federation. The project is responsive to the demands of partner companies. Its implementation will fully cover their need for this product.
The projects are based on the latest technologies that help to gain in performance and improve the production efficiency. The enterprises will be built in compliance with all environmental safety standards.
According to the expert council, there are 20 residents in the Kaluga SEZ.
