Students of Russia’s leading agricultural university received a modern educational space with up-to-date technical equipment. Importantly, theoretical classes are closely integrated with practical work at the holding’s enterprises. The implementation of the joint program ensures a high level of competence for graduates and guarantees employment.
The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Russian Federation, Tanju Bilgiç, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Mikhail Yurin, Kaluga Region Governor Vladislav Shapsha, Deputy Governor Vladimir Popov, HAYAT President Avni Kiğılı, Vice President for Eurasia, North and South America Enes Çizmeci, and General Director of HAYAT in Russia Metin Mete.

Over the years of its presence in the Russian market, the company has become the largest manufacturer of tissue and hygiene products in the country. HAYAT holds the position of the leading brand manufacturer in the toilet paper market (share – 32.24%) and paper towels (29.1%). Products under the Papia, Familia, and Focus brands are made from 100% cellulose and meet high quality standards.
“In 10 years, we have gone from building the first plant to creating two large production sites with a total capacity of more than 280,000 tons per year,” said Metin Mete, General Director of the company in Russia. “Russia has been and remains a strategically important market for the company. Our company continues to set the direction for the industry, expanding production volumes, introducing advanced technologies, and increasing the availability of high-quality products.”

“The company is increasing production, expanding its range, and meeting the needs of the Russian market. For the region, this means additional jobs and tax revenues,” summed up the Governor of Kaluga Region.
